| DANIEL D. LEVENSON | Thomas R. Marton is an attorney at Lourie & Cutler. Tom's practice focuses in the areas of estate planning and business planning, with considerable expertise in a wide range of related tax and non-tax issues. In tailoring appropriate estate plans for his clients, Tom addresses a full package of needs, from key basics such as asset allocation and fiduciary concerns to sophisticated wealth preservation and planned giving issues. In the business planning arena, Tom works closely with his clients to assist them with acquisitions, reorganizations, financings, lease arrangements, employment contracts, succession issues and other such matters. Tom supplements his tax and legal expertise with his skill as an experienced mediator, which he finds of great value in helping clients to consummate business transactions or address sensitive family concerns. Prior to joining Lourie & Cutler, Tom served as law clerk to the Hon. Douglas P. Woodlock, U.S. District Court of Massachusetts. Tom received his law degree from the University of Chicago, with honors, and his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, with distinction in general scholarship and as a Phi Beta Kappa member.
