x William J. Eisen

William J. Eisen is a principal of the firm. The focus of his practice is tax, estate and business planning. He counsels clients on a wide range of estate planning issues and frequently serves as a trustee for individuals with trusts funded during their lifetime and upon their death.

Mr. Eisen also specializes in representing owners of closely-held family businesses. This representation includes advising clients about business succession plans, sales, acquisitions and mergers, and helping clients to develop a charitable program. He represents clients with tax issues before all governmental entities. He has extensive experience in complex and interdisciplinary tax issues, and he is often retained by lawyers from other firms who need his expertise in the tax aspects of such matters as real estate transactions, divorce, and other litigation.

Mr. Eisen received a bachelor's degree from Amherst College in 1970 and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1974.

He has taught in the graduate tax program at Bentley College and at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
